From Newcastle Food Truck to
Restaurant
Founded by Insung Park, a Korean-born chef who studied Western cuisine before moving to Australia in 2012. After years of working in the mining industry, Insung followed his true passion for cooking.
In November 2022, Jjindakk started as a humble food truck at Warners Bay. Insung spent 7 months perfecting every recipe from scratch — the sauces, the batter, everything. No pre-made ingredients from Korea. Every flavor was invented and refined right here in Newcastle.
The response was overwhelming. What began as weekend pop-ups quickly grew into something bigger. Today, we're proud to serve our community from our restaurant on Beaumont Street, Hamilton.
